Baffin
A completely innovative, hybrid design capable of taking adventurers from Fall through Spring, BOREALIS modernizes the traditional hiking silhouette and winterizes its approach. Body-heat mouldable and designed for greater temperature regulation, BOREALIS allows for higher exertion in a broader range of temperatures and a moderate to high level of activity.
Upper:
- Mid-height, specially formulated Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) shell
- Front-lace fastening system
- Pull loop at the back for ease of entry
Base:
- Dual-density midsole with LiteGrip™ Blend outsole for lightweight cushioning and grip
- Polar Rubber™ outsole for maximized grip and longevity of boot at cold temperatures
- B-Tek™ Scent-Free next-to-foot lining for keeping odours at bay
- Extended rubber tread to grip snow and ice
Insulation:
- Removable Active-Fit Multi-layer inner boot system, with body-heat mouldable technology providing personalized performance and fit featuring:
- Thermawick™ comfortable, hi-wick next-to-foot lining material for greater breathability and improved thermal regulation
- Form-fitting B-Tek™ Foam lining for comfort
- B-Tek™ Lite proprietary aero-insulation blend that allows the inner boot to achieve greater thermal regulation while using less material
- B-Tek™ Heat lightweight, 4-channel hollow-fibre insulation for high-loft breathability in a broad range of temperatures
- PolyNylon™ blend used as an outer layer for lightweight and breathable liner durability
